Description

MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 550-500 BC. Obol (Silver, 9 mm, 0.54 g). Tunny swimming to right holding, in its mouth, the stem of a lotus flower that hangs below him . Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. ACNACS 3, Rosen, 237 ( this coin, but ascribed to Koresia on Keos ). Rare. Boldly struck. Toned as found. Minor uncleaned deposits, otherwise, very fine.
