ELIS. Olympia. 105th-107th Olympiad, circa 360-352 BC. Obol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.91 g, 10 h), struck in the Hera mint. Ϝ - Α Head of the eponymous nymph Olympia to left; below neck truncation, Δ ( engraver's initial ). Rev. Ϝ Α Eagle, with closed wings, standing to right on an olive branch. BCD -., but see BCD Olympia 175 for an obol from the same obverse die. Seltman p. 103 and pl. XII, 17 ( same obverse die. Extremely rare. Lightly toned. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, traces of die rust and with die breaks on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
