EUBOIA, Euboian League. Circa 357-338 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 7 mm, 0.24 g, 8 h). Head of the nymph Euboia to left, wearing a pendant earring, a pearl necklace and with her hair rolled. Rev. Ε - Υ Bull's hoof to right. BCD Euboia 33 ( this coin ). HGC 4, 1426 ( this coin illustrated ). Wallace p. 180, 158 & 159 and pl. XIII, 158 ( this coin ). Of great rarity, one of only two examples known - Wallace listed the same coin twice, as did BCD in the Lanz Catalogue ). A very attractive and important coin. Part of the edge broken away in modern times, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
