PHOKIS, Federal Coinage. Lilaia. 480-478 BC. Triobol (Silver, 13.5 mm, 3.06 g, 3 h). Bull's head facing. Rev. Λ-Ι ( barely visible ) Head of Artemis to right, wearing a necklace of pearls and with her hair tied with a tainia over her head and her ponytail tied below her ear and at the end; all within a shallow incuse square. Cf. BCD 438 ( same reverse die ). HGC 4, 1151. Williams 69 (O49/R40, same dies ). Very rare. Toned and evenly worn. Usual die break below Artemis's head on the reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.
