Description

THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 479/475-460 BC. Obol (Silver, 9 mm, 0.61 g, 7 h). Head of the nymph Larissa to right, with her hair tied with a ribbon and bound in a bun at the back. Rev. ΛΑR - Ι ( the rho retrograde ) Sandal of Jason to right; all within incuse square. BCD II, 138 ( this coin ). Herrmann -. Toned. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
