The Triumvirs. Octavian, autumn 30-summer 29 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.61 g, 7 h), Uncertain mint in Italy, probably Rome or Brundisium. Helmeted head of youthful Mars to right, with light beard. Rev. CAESAR Circular shield, the boss ornamented with star, over sword and spear in saltire. BMC 644. BN 87. Cohen 44. CRI 428. RIC I 274. RSC 44. Toned. Very fine.
