Description
MACEDON. Thessalonica. After 148 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 11.32 g, 12 h). Head of Roma to right, wearing Phrygian helmet. Rev. ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟ/ΝΙΚΕΩΝ in two lines; above, monogram of ΠA; below, monogram of ΗΔ; all within oak wreath. HGC 3.1, 720. SNG ANS 783. Green patina. Light roughness, otherwise, very fine.
