Description
KINGS OF THRACE. Kavaros, circa 230/25-218 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.65 g, 12 h), Kabyle. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣΙΛEΩΣ KAYAPOY Zeus seated left, holding in outstretched right hand eagle standing right, and long scepter in left; in left field, Artemis Phosphoros standing facing. Draganov 862-73. HGC 3.2, 1356. Very rare. Extremely fine.
