BYZANTINE SEALS. Constantine, spatharios and epi tes megales hetaireias, circa 11th century. Seal or Bulla (Lead, 24 mm, 8.32 g, 11 h). O/ N/I-K/O/Λ Nimbate facing bust of Saint Nicholas, raising hand in benediction and holding the book of the Gospels. Rev. KΩN / CΠAΘA/PIOS EΠ/I TIC (MEΓ) / ETEPI / -+- in six lines within round dotted border. Possibly unpublished. Some cleanable deposits on both sides, otherwise, very fine.
