★ Philoketes Hunting for Birds ★
THESSALY, Lamia. Circa 325-300 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 14 mm, 1.91 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing necklace and crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΜΑΛΙΕΩΝ Philoktetes, naked, standing to right and shooting with his bow at birds, one of which falls before him. BCD Thessaly II 125. Rogers 384. Brown patina. Very fine.
