SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.90 g, 10 h), circa 263-218. Head of Poseidon to left, wearing tainia. Rev. ΙΕΡΩ-ΝΟΣ Trident flanked by two dolphins swimming downwards; below legend, to right, ΣΩ. BAR Issue 60. CNS 197 Rl21. HGC 2, 1550. Brown and green patina. Scattered porosity, otherwise, very fine.
