Description

CELTIC, Britain. Atrebates & Regni. Verica, circa AD 10-40. Minim (Silver, 8.5 mm, 0.24 g, 4 h), 'Cornucopiae Eagle' type. Thyrsus between two cornucopiae, all standing within a two-handled wine cup. Rev. Eagle standing left on vine, his head turned back to right, pecking on a bunch of grapes. ABC 1322. Bean VECS3-2. BMC 1543-58. SCBC 154. Van Arsdell 555. Clear and with attractive grey surfaces. Nearly extremely fine.
