KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 11 mm, 2.16 g, 1 h), ‘Amphipolis’, circa 330-320. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝ / ΔΡΟΥ Thunderbolt, bow and club. Price 169. An attractive and well-struck coin of good style. Minor marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
