CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 9.32 g, 2 h). Head of Tanit to left, wreathed with grain ears, wearing triple pendant earring and necklace with eight pendants. Rev. Horse standing to right; in the lower field to right, before forelegs, trefoil of pellets with point downwards. CNP 1.5j. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIh, 79 ( same dies ). MAA 4. With a delicate and fine head of Tanit, very sharply struck, lustrous and most attractive. Some small die-breaks, otherwise, virtually as struck.
