KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. 1/12 Stater (Gold, 8 mm, 0.72 g, 7 h), Pella, circa 345-340/36. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOΥ Thunderbolt; below, lion’s head facing. Le Rider 17 (D12/R12). SNG ANS 209-15 . Clear and attractive. With an unusually large thunderbolt on the reverse. Extremely fine.
