ΣΥΡΑΚΟ - ΣΙΩΝ above and below, ∴XIII (= chalkoi 3 ); below, monogram of ΑΦ. Buceti 1275 var. ( same denomination and monogram, but different legend arrangement ). CCO 322 (D3/R6, this coin illustrated ). Very rare. Attractive, well-struck and lightly toned. Tiny chip on reverse edge, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

Another curious coin! At a time when most states had phased out silver coins valued at less than a hemidrachm, here we have Syracuse producing trichalka in silver!
