Description
John II Comnenus, 1118-1143. Tetarteron (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.12 g, 6 h), Thessalonika, 1137-1143 (?). IC XC Christ standing facing on dais, holding Gospels in left hand. Rev. Iω ΔЄ Crowned bust of John facing, holding labarum in right hand and globus cruciger with left. DOC 16b. SB 1954. Dark patina. Some roughness, otherwise, good fine.
