THRACE. Philippopolis. Commodus, 177-192. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 28 mm, 17.85 g, 2 h), circa 187. AYT KAI MAP AY KOMOΔOΣ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus to right. Rev. ΗΓΕ ΚΑΙ MATEPNOY ΦIΛIΠΠO-ΠOΛEITΩ-N Homonoia standing left, wearing kalathos, holding patera in her right hand and cornucopia in her left. RPC IV.1 -. Varbanov 967 var. (no altar). A nice example with a dark green patina. Very fine.
