BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Euthydemos I, circa 225-200 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.06 g, 12 h), Mint A (near Aï Khanoum). Struck circa 206-200 BC, c. 206-200. Diademed head of Euthydemos I to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΕΥΘΥΔΗΜΟΥ Weary Herakles seated to left on rocks, holding his club with his right hand, propping it on his right leg, and resting his left hand on the rocks; to right, behind him, monogram. Bopearachchi 6A. Kritt A16. Cf. SNG ANS 131-2 ( for the same monogram but different portrait style ) and 141-2 ( for the same portrait style but different monogram ). Well centered and excellent style. Light porosity, otherwise, about extremely fine.
