KINGS OF ELYMAIS. Kamnaskires IV, circa 63/2-54/3 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 13.40 g, 11 h), Seleukiea on the Hedyphon, uncertain date. Diademed and draped younger bust of Kamnaskires IV to left; behind, c/m of Nike left within rectangular incuse, obscuring mintmark. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΚΑΜΝΑΣΚΙΡΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΕΓ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΚΑΜΝΑΣΚΙΡΟΥ Bearded god (Zeus or Belos) seated left, holding Nike in right hand and scepter in left; to inner left, monogram. Van't Haaff Type 8.1, Subtype 1-1A. Toned, and with an attractive early portrait. Very fine.
