★ Unusual Contemporary Imitation ★
EUBOIA. Histiaia. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 14 mm, 1.92 g, 3 h), contemporary imitation. Barbarized wreathed head of the nymph Histiaia to left. Rev. Stern of galley to left. Cf. BCD Euboia 433-4 for other imitative tetrobols, both with head to right. Unusual and interesting. Porous, otherwise, about very fine.
