KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.19 g, 11 h), Lampsakos, circa 306/5-301. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on a backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left; below eagle, forepart of Pegasos to left; below throne, AI. Price 1385. Good very fine.
