CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Uncertain. Makhares, governor of the Bosporos, circa 79-65 BC. (Bronze, 24 mm, 12.43 g, 12 h). Wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. Bow case; in left field, monogram. HGC 7, 110 (Pantikapaion). MacDonald 180. Brown patina. Light cleaning scratches, fields smoothed, otherwise, fine.
