BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 350-300 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 7.85 g, 3 h). Eagle with spread wings standing left on olive branch. Rev. KPO Tripod with ornamental volutes below the bowl and legs ending in lion's paws; to right, crane standing in striking position left with outstretched talons on Δ. HN III 2174. SNG ANS 367-368. Well struck. A superior example with outstanding details . Die break on obverse and minor encrustations, otherwise, about extremely fine.
