Justinian I, 527-565. Follis (Bronze, 39 mm, 19.16 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 5th officina, year 16 = 542/3. D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globus cruciger and shield; cross to right. Rev. ANNO XVI /CON Large M with cross above, E below. DOC 41e. SB 163. Well centered on a particularly spread flan. Insignificant cleaning marks , otherwise, about very fine.
