Description

SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.90 g, 2 h), Seleukia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟXΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his right on his bow; to left and right, monogram. ESM 155, type 2. SC 379.3c. A toned coin with an attractive portrait. Remains of corrosion damage on the reverse , otherwise, good very fine.
