Divus Augustus, died AD 14. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 28 mm, 15.44 g, 6 h), Struck under Gaius (Caligula), Rome, 37-41. DIVVS · AVGVSTVS / S - C Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. CONSENSV · SENAT · ET · EQ · ORDIN · P · Q · R Augustus (?) seated left on curule chair, holding branch in his right hand. BMC 88 (Caligula). BN 137 (Caligula). Cohen 87. RIC 56 (Gaius). Reddish-tan patina. Light porosity and minor roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
