Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle with closed wings on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, two monograms over horizontal anchor and the forepart of a horse to left; below throne, ΣΩ. ESM 475. HGC 9, 9e. Price 3931. SC 202.11b. With a spectacularly dramatic and powerful head of the youthful Herakles on the obverse, perfectly centered on a broad flan. Reverse struck slightly off-center and with a few minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
