Description

CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 400-375 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 8.49 g, 6 h). Ϙ Pegasus flying left with straight wings. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing Corinthian helmet with a neck guard; in the field behind her head, palmette. BCD Corinth -. BMC 155. Calciati 104. Ravel 346 ( same dies ). Struck on a broad flan with a lovely reverse. Obverse struck from a slightly worn and rusty die, otherwise, extremely fine.
