MACEDON, Chalkidian League. Circa 432-348 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 2.47 g, 1 h), Olynthos, c. 430-427. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Χ-Α-Λ-ΚΙΔ-ΕΩΝ Lyre with seven strings; the whole within shallow incuse square. BMC 14. HGC 3, 502. Robinson & Clement Group B ( but both dies unrecorded ). SNG ANS 526. A rare early issue of the Chalkidian League. Nicely toned and well-centered. Die fault on obverse and some edge breaks, otherwise, good very fine.
