CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Phanagoreia. Circa 400 BC. Diobol (Silver, 9 mm, 1.74 g, 9 h). Head of Kabeiros wearing pileos to left. Rev. ΦΑ Forepart of bull left, head turned slightly facing; behind, barley grain. HGC 7, 158. MacDonald 75. SNG BM Black Sea 988. SNG Stancomb 621. Very rare. Well-struck and of good style. Minor marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.

Phanagoria - near modern Sennoy on the Taman Peninsula - is on the eastern side of the Cimmerian Bosporus, opposite Panticapaion.
