BRUTTIUM. The Brettii. Circa 216-214 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 4.69 g, 11 h), issued during the Second Punic War. Diademed and draped bust of Nike to right. Rev. BPETTIΩN Dionysos standing facing, crowning himself and holding scepter; to right, thunderbolt. Arslan 103. BMC 16. HN III 1958. Scheu S6. Perfectly centered on a large flan, and with lovely old cabinet toning. Extremely fine.
