★ Rare Issue of Livia with Sharp Portrait ★

PHRYGIA. Cotiaeum. Livia, Augusta, 14-29. (Bronze, 16.5 mm, 4.45 g, 12 h), Pedon, magistrate. ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ Draped bust of Livia to right. Rev. ΕΠΙ ΠΕΔΩΝΟΣ ΚΟΤΙΑΕΩΝ Kybele seated left, holding patera in her right hand and leaning left on tympanon; at her side, a lion seated left. RPC I 3219A. Lovely black patina and with a sharply struck portrait of Livia. Very rare, the seventh known example, and perhaps the finest. Nearly extremely fine.
