EPEIROS. Ambrakia. Circa 456-426 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 8.68 g, 9 h). A Pegasos flying left with curved wings; below, serpent coiled around tortoise. Rev. A Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind neckguard, caduceus; all within square incuse. Calcaiti 6 ( same obverse die ). SNG Copenhagen -. Very rare. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
