SICILY. Selinos. Circa 455-440 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 8.42 g, 9 h). Σ-Ε-ΛΙ-ΝΟ-Ν-Τ-IΟΝ Youthful Herakles striding to right, holding the right horn of the Cretan bull, galloping to right, with his left hand and preparing to strike him with a club held high in his right. Rev. [ΗΥ]ΨΑΣ Youthful river god Hypsas standing to left, sacrificing over a serpent entwined altar to left; behind him to right, selinon leaf in the field above a crane walking to right. Rizzo pl.
