John II Comnenus, 1118-1143. Tetarteron (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.04 g, 6 h), Thessalonika, 1137-1143. IC XC Christ standing facing on dais. Rev. IωΑ Facing bust of John, holding labarum and globus cruciger. DOC 16b. SB 1954. Dark green glossy patina; unusually fine details for type. Very fine.
