Description

ATTICA. Athens . Circa 355-294 BC. (Bronze, 15 mm, 4.48 g, 3 h), Eleusis. Triptolemos, holding grain ear, seated right in winged chariot being drawn by two serpents. Rev. EΛEYΣI Pig standing right on mystic staff; bucranium below. Kroll 38h. SNG Copenhagen 416. Glossy dark patina. Obverse struck off centre , otherwise, good very fine.
