EGYPT. Alexandria. Trajan, 98-117. Drachm (Bronze, 35.20 mm, 23.02 g, 12 h), year ΙΓ = 13 = 109-110. [ΑΥΤ ΤΡ]ΑΙΑΝ CE - Β ΓEΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ Laureate bust of Trajan to right, with aegis on his far shoulder. Rev. L IΓ Serapis standing facing, head to right, half draped, holding a double cornucopia with his left hand and wearing a kalathos on his head; to left, column surmounted by a kalathos with grain ears and poppies; to right, (palm?) branch. Dattari (Savio) -. Meissen -. K&G -. RPC III 4426.2 ( this coin, but slightly misdescribed ). Extremely rare - the only other example cited by the RPC is in the ANS . Dark brown-red patina. Lightly cleaned, and with some striking flatness on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
