ΣEΛ-INON-TION Herakles standing right, holding club overhead in right hand, preparing to strike the Cretan bull, standing right, which he holds by a horn with his left. Rev. HYΨAΣ River god Hypsas standing left, holding branch in left hand and phiale in right, from which he sacrifices over serpent-entwined altar to left; to right, small figure of Nike standing left, grasping Hypsas by the arm and handing him a victory ribbon. AMB 412 ( same dies ). Rizzo pl. 33, 8 ( same dies ). Extremely rare variety with Nike instead of the usual selinon leaf and heron. Light marks, otherwise, very fine.
