CARTHAGE. Circa 270-264 BC. Trihemistater (Gold, 23.5 mm, 12.47 g, 12 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring, and necklace with eighteen hanging pendants. Rev. Unbridled horse standing right on single exergual line, head turned to look back. Jenkins & Lewis Group IX, 378 ( same dies ). MAA 26. SNG Copenhagen 181. Perfectly centered and struck, and from exceptionally well-engraved dies. Virtually as struck.
Sold on behalf of the Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique, Switzerland, and from the collection of L. R. Stack, Stack's, 14 January 2008, 2270 (but there incorrectly attributed as Jenkins & Lewis 382-2, which is, in fact, from different dies).
