ETRURIA. Populonia. Circa 211-206 BC. 25 Asses (Gold, 13 mm, 1.40 g), struck during the Second Punic War. X - XV Lion's head to right, with open jaws and protruding tongue. Rev. Blank. HN III 128. SNG ANS 2. SNG Copenhagen 36. Vecchi I, 21.14 ( this coin ). Rare. Well-struck, sharp and attractive. Extremely fine.
