Michael VIII Palaeologus, 1261-1282. Trachy (Bronze, 25 mm, 2.91 g, 6 h), Constantinople. Christ Pantocrator enthroned facing, cross-nimbus at head. Rev. Michael VIII standing facing, wearing loros, holding labarum-headed scepter in right hand and patriarchal globus cruciger in left. DOC -. PCPC 42. SB 2279. Rare. Dark brown patina. Very fine.
