Caracalla, Caesar, 196-198. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.08 g, 6 h), struck under Septimius Severus, Rome, 196-198. M AVR ANTONINVS CAES Bare-headed and draped bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. SEVERI AVG PII FIL Lituus, knife, jug, simpulum, and sprinkler. BMC 184. Cohen 587. RIC 4. A wonderful youthful portrait of Caracalla. Good very fine.
