PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy IV Philopator, 225-205 BC. Drachm (Bronze, 42 mm, 70.96 g, 12 h), Alexandria, circa 220/19-205. Head of Zeus-Ammon to right, wearing tainia. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; to left, filleted cornucopiae; between legs, Σ. CPE B497. SNG Copenhagen -. Svoronos 992. Dark green patina with lighter earthen deposits. Very fine.
