PHRYGIA. Ancyra. Pseudo-autonomous issue, Time of Septimius Severus to Caracalla, 193-217. (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.48 g, 7 h). ΘEA PΩMH Turreted and draped bust of Roma to right. Rev. ANKYPANΩN Dionysos standing to left, holding kantharos and thyrsos. BMC 17. SNG Copenhagen 134. SNG von Aulock 3428. Dark brown patina with light sandy deposits. Very fine.
