LYDIA. Saitta. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 3rd century AD. (Bronze, 22 mm, 5.94 g, 6 h). AZIOTTHNOC Draped bust of Mên Aziottenos to right, wearing Phrygian cap, crescent at shoulders. Rev. CAITTHNΩN Dionysos standing to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and filleted thyrsos in his right; at feet to left, panther. BMC 15-6. GRPC Lydia, 37. Well-struck, and with an attractive brown patina with earthen highlights. Good very fine.
