KINGS of LYDIA. Period of Alyattes II to Kroisos, circa 610-550/46 BC. Trite (Electrum, 13x8mm, 4.73 g), Sardes. Head of lion to right, with open jaws and with a sun and rays on its forehead. Rev. Two incuse squares, one larger than the other. SNG Kayhan 1013. SNG con Aulock 2868. Weidauer 86-89. Well struck and pleasing. Minor striking crack, otherwise , nearly extremely fine.
