Description
LESBOS, Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10mm, 2.57 g 6). Head of a ram to right; below, rooster feeding to left. Rev. Lion’s head with open jaws to left; behind, rectangle divided into two squares; all incuse. BMC 10. Bodenstedt 11.5 ( this coin ). SNG Lockett 2754. Nicely toned. Extremely fine.
