DN LEO PERPET AVG Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed bust of Leo I facing, holding a spear in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with horseman attacking a fallen foe, over his left shoulder. Rev. SALVS REI-RVBLICAE (sic) C / CONOB Leo I, larger and on the left, and Leo II, smaller and on the right, seated facing on a lyre type throne with a back, each holding mappa; star above cross on the upper field. Depeyrot 92/1. RIC 638. An extremely rare issue of Leo I and Leo II. Minor die breaks and striking (?) flaw on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
