CYCLADES. Melos. Circa 460-450 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 14.09 g). Apple with stem bent to left and two leaves. Rev. Circular incuse divided into quarters by two broad lines; with three dots in each quarter. Jameson 1280 = Sheedy Series IV, 21 (O17/? - possibly reverse die R17). Rare. Test cut on the reverse, some scrapes and scratches, and with a lightly struck obverse, otherwise, very fine.
